At Oregon Head & Neck, we strive to make sure your visits with us are comfortable and relaxing.

A short description of each visit with us is detailed below so that you’ll know what to expect.

Day One

Once you arrive, you’ll take a few minutes to fill out your paperwork.

Or you can complete your paperwork in advance by downloading it from the Today’s Chiropractic menu at left, filling it out at home, and bringing it with you to your first appointment.

This visit involves a short consultation with Dr. Sheppard, followed by a thorough examination, which includes procedures such as:

  • Testing your ability to turn and bend
  • Reflex testing
  • Standard postural, neurological, orthopedic and physical examinations

From this examination, Dr. Sheppard can better understand your condition and if you are a candidate for our chiropractic care. Then, if necessary, we will take X-rays and schedule you back for a follow-up appointment. In total this visit takes 30-45 minutes.

Your Second Visit

On this visit, Dr. Sheppard will go over your X-rays and his findings from your examination. We will take our time to make sure all your questions are answered. You will move forward feeling fully informed, and if you are ready to begin, you will receive your first adjustment. This second appointment will also take 30-45 minutes.

Routine Visits

These quicker visits take 10-15 minutes to complete. We will re-assess your progress every 10 to 12 visits.

How often you return to see us will depend on your goals. You do not need to continue care with us forever and always have options. There are several types of care that you can choose, from pain relief to wellness and maintenance. We work to educate you so you know the importance of getting your spine checked at regular intervals depending on your needs.

Coverage and Payment Information

Dr. Sheppard is a provider in many different insurance programs. We also work with auto insurance and worker’s compensation cases. If you do not have insurance, a flexible payment plan can be worked out, so you get the care you need.
